Product Description

The Horsfield Tortoise including a Large Package is a complete package and contains everything you need.

The Horsfield tortoise originates in Central Asia and is commonly known as the Russian tortoise. This is a hibernating breed. It is one of the more commonly kept species of tortoise due to their smaller size and are fairly hardy compared to some of the more tropical breeds of tortoise. Horsfield’s are the smaller of the tortoise species. High UV lighting is required and low to moderate humidity. They can live up to 50 years or more and on average an adult Horsfield tortoise will grow to approximately 5-8 inches (13-20cms) with a growth rate of around 1 inch per year. However, this may vary in individuals.

This species is listed as Annex B and does not require an Article 10 CITES certificate to be legally sold.

When you purchase a tortoise, we will provide you with a care sheet containing all the information you need for a happy tortoise.

Our large indoor tortoise table is custom made specifically for us by a local experienced joinery company. This is a quality hand crafted product made from solid pine, is fully jointed and fully assembled for your convenience. This table features a removable lid to reveal a private sleeping area and a separate storage compartment for vitamins, supplements and accessories etc. The larger table is an ideal option as your tortoise matures and grows or should you wish to keep multiple tortoises together.
