Hi Emma and Steve, Hope you guys are doing okay. I just really wanted to say the world’s biggest thank you for your help and our new little family member, after seeing you on Saturday morning! Steve, you were fab and so helpful, you really put me at ease, and I genuinely can’t thank you enough. Just thought you’d like to know that the little one is settling in really well, they have been named Lucky. They’ve been having their daily baths which they seem to love, lots of drinking and weeing/pooing! And they have been eating really well too, have also I’ve seen them drinking from their water bowl. Lucky has been really active and has been handled regularly, seems a happy camper and has been roaming around nicely in their table! They have been burrowing at night too, and then coming out when I turn the light on the morning- so really really good news! I think they are settling in well! Truly, just thank you so much. It’s been a lifelong dream and you guys have been wonderful. I’m sure we’ll meet again in the future, my daughter keeps asking if we can go and get the ‘Red Footed’ and bring him to our family, haha! My name is Sammy, and we have a 2 year old tortoise called Gary. I found lots of contradictions online to do with diet and set up. And it was very frustrating. But then I found the Tortoise den website , and I liked what I saw so I contacted them and booked a visit. Emma was awesome, she listened and then she gave advise and what’s more her shop had everything I needed for my little Gary. From substrate to plants to slates and accessories. This is the only shop I would recommend when buy for your tortoise as they are very knowledgeable and they really care about tortoises.

Steve is a top guy, very helpful. I just received my western dwarf arrived fully healthy there’s no problems what so ever. The tort was even active from the get go as well as eating which you rarley see when you receive a tort that’s active and eating from the get go that means they have been well looked after to a high standard. Thats one tort 2 more to come, my enclosure was built by my self which is 5ft long, almost 3ft wide and 1ft high, apart from the themostat all the equipment is arcadia. It’s fully installed with a arcadia twin T5 controller and habistat dimming thermostat which are mounted on the wall, reflectors on the T5’s, heat lamp, I also installed 2 double sockets 1 socket per table the 2nd socket is for another tort table which will be identical to the one I’ve built. I also put furniture studs on the outside of the table. If your looking for a first tort or even wanting another then Steve is the place to go. Many thanks

Just had my baby Western Hermans delivered from The Tortoise Den today. Came well packaged and in rude health, immediately getting into exploring his new home. Steve has been great since before I had even put down a deposit over a month ago answering all questions I have had and remaining patient despite my (as proved here) constant and inane rambling. He even called to ensure Lovejoy arrived ok and to let me know I could get in touch with any further queries…..he may regret that though.

Just picked up my Herman’s tortoise and couldn’t have been happier with every aspect of my experience. The place was extremely clean, professional, there’s a wide array of products and most importantly the tortoises were evidently highly looked after and healthy. I regretfully forget the guys name but he couldn’t have been a nicer, more genuine person with a huge knowledge base of these little guys. I was given thorough answers to any questions I asked and was given every bit of advice I needed to provide perfect care. Aftercare is offered at all times and encouraged incase I have any more questions too! I’m literally over the moon and can’t put into words how highly I recomend this place.
